SUFI MAI ZHI part 1

Was born 1908. During the move of the Zhou family from mainland China to Hong Kong in the year 1949, Mai Zhi also followed. In Hong Kong, he first visited his Sifu Mai Zhan Qing (his brother) and Zhou Biao. Mai Zhi worked as a butcher by day and taught wushu in his brother’s Zhong Wai Zhou Jia Wushu School at night. As life got monotonous, Mai Zhi decided to leave Kowloon, Hong Kong to seek fame and fortune overseas. After reaching Singapore, adopting a name Muk Chee Cheong, Mai Zhi started working in Zhi Lin Pigs Slaughter House in Syed Alwi Road. Small build, timid and always keeping to himself, as he did not mix around and talk, there nobody knew anything about his past. One day, four local gangsters came for protection money. All the other butchers had paid up previously to avoid trouble. Only Mai Zhi refused to pay. Calmly he tried to reason the gangsters. He explained having left home to come to Singapore to work for the little extra money and he did not have any spare to give. Most of his earned money was sent back home to his family in Hong Kong, so he begged the gangsters to leave him alone. This made the gangsters more angry and mad and they threatened to teach Mai Zhi a lesson by beating him up for his disobedience. The gangsters started pushing him around, then hitting Mai Zhi a few times. Mai Zhi begged them to go away as they had their fun. The gangsters laughed and continued beating him. Finaly Mai Zhi retaliated. The small Mai Zhi moved like lightning, punching and kicking away and in no time the tour gangsters were lying on the ground.
